Disney Cruise Line eliminates fuel surcharge

Posted by Anita Dunham-Potter On December - 3 - 2008

Disney Cruise Line announced that it is eliminating fuel surcharges for all new bookings, effective immediately. The new policy applies to sail dates through the end of 2010.

The company also set guidelines for the refund of fuel supplements already paid. If the closing price on the New York Mercantile Exchange of West Texas Intermediate fuel is below $70 a barrel two weeks prior to the beginning of the calendar quarter, Disney says it will refund surcharges paid in the form of an on-board credit.
