easyCruise Life (Photo courtesy of easyCruise)The second ship in the easyCruise fleet was finally launched on Saturday, May 17 from Piraeus, Greece. easyCruise Life’s maiden voyage was delayed due to labor issues at a Greek shipyard where the 1981-built vessel was undergoing major renovations.

easyCruise Life is considerably larger than 216-passenger easyCruise One The newer ship carries 498 passengers, double occupancy, and has a total capacity of 600. Life is also a little easier on the eyes. Yes, the famous “easy” orange livery is still there; however, it’s less pervasive with the vessel’s gray hull and less flamboyant interior. The 20 million euro upgrade includes larger staterooms and upgraded restaurants.

Life will sail 7-day itineraries in Greece and Turkey that will run until October 11; then the ship will transition to Greek Island-only sailings.
