Windstar’s Wind Surf

Posted by Anita Dunham-Potter On June - 9 - 2009

Wind Surf towering of Sète, France The Wind Surf is larger than her sister ships, with five masts and seven decks.

An open-air sports platform is equipped with sailboards, snorkeling gear, water skis, sailboats and kayaks, or you can try out the two pools, two hot tubs or fitness center. Spend a few leisurely hours in the salon and day spa.

Breakfast and lunch are served in The Veranda on the top deck. The restaurant has an open-seating policy; it’s supplemented by a smaller, more casual bistro that seats just 90 people.

Popular after-dinner gathering spots include the casino, Wind Surf Lounge and the Compass Rose Piano Bar.

The library has a large collection of books, CDs and DVDs, and the bridge is open to passengers who’d like to chat with officers and learn how the computer-operated sails work.

All cabins have ocean views, and the suites feature a living/dining area and his-and-her bathrooms. The Wind Surf was refurbished in 2006 and now features renovated cabins and bathrooms, two new suites, the new Yacht Club, Degrees restaurant and more.
