I saw this ship at anchor in Bequi in the Caribbean and was given a tour by the first mate - very impressive.

I have sailed on a much smaller tallship the 'Soren Larsen' in the South Pacific. They offer a hands on experience of this type of ship in Samoa, Fiji and Vanuatu. They take just 22 guest voyage crew of all ages and base in NZ.

I certainly agree that its the less visited places that are the most fascinating.

I was especially interested to read about these great sailing ships as I have recently been researching the 1902 Preussen and will shortly be posting photos of the Preussen at it's final resting place, Fan Bay, near Dover (England) where it was shipwrecked in 1910. The remains can still be seen at low tide, and if you follow the link to my site you can actually see them on the Google map.

If the Royal Clipper is ever in UK waters then I will be interested in seeing it!
