Hamburger grease saves the day
Norwegian Cruise Line Corporation recently completed a first-of-its-kind initiative at the Port of Miami to recycle used cooking oil from their ships, the Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Pearl. The company says approximately 1,300 gallons of used cooking oil was offloaded and donated to an organic farmer in Vero Beach, Fla., who then converted the oil to 870 gallons of usable bio-diesel for his farming equipment. This is good news for the environment. Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow would definitely approve.
Santorini without the greasy mess
