Costa Serena Costa Cruises has ordered two more ships from Fincantieri shipyards that will be delivered in 2011 and 2012. The two new ships will be sisters ships the Costa Concordia, Costa Serena and Costa Pacifica, the latter of which is still under construction. Each new ship will have 3,012 lower berths and will be able to accommodate 3,780 passengers in total. The cost of the new vessels is over one billion euros.

The two new ships will sport signature features of the Concordia class including the 23,000 square foot Samsara Spa, Grand Prix race car driving simulators and two swimming pools with retractable magrodomes. Each new ship will have 17 additional veranda cabins for a total of 1,506 accommodations, six more than the other Concordia-class ships.
