Travel Insured International said it will not retroactively add fees for those who purchased their travel protection plans before the cruise lines added fuel surcharges.
However, the company said it will begin charging a premium to reflect any fuel surcharges applied to future departures for their protection plans purchased on or after the date a line announces a fuel surcharge policy.
Look for other travel insurance companies to follow in adding fees to reflect higher cruise prices.
That was something normal to happen. As the oil prices increses all products and services will have much highier prices.
Wow this is unpleasant news for travelers! I usually will purchase HTH Travel Insurance…the rates are reasonable and the plans are quality.
