Leaving Venice a photo essay

Posted by Anita Dunham-Potter On May - 2 - 2011

Located at the top of the Adriatic Sea is the enchanting city of Venice. Made up of numerous islands and canals Venice offers an amazing setting where bridges lead to winding cobblestone streets, stunning renaissance architecture, and, of course singing gondoliers. The city is a true fairy-tale destination and it’s no wonder that many people feel it is the world’s most romantic destination.

Enjoy these sunset photos as the Carnival Magic sets sail from Venice.

If you really want to see Venice, one must escape from the tourist routes and go on the side streets, without comerciants or stores. There you will find the real Venice and romantism.

  5. Beautiful pictures, I especially like the one on the second row and column. The building just pops out amongst the others and attracts the eye.
