Seabourn takes delivery of Seabourn Odyssey

odyssey2During Carnival Corporation’s second quarter conference call Carnival Corporation chairman and CEO, Micky Arison and vice chairman and COO Howard Frank reported from Genoa, Italy that Seabourn had just taken delivery of the Odyssey. The ship is “absolutely stunning” said Frank.

Seabourn Odyssey is a 32,000-ton, 450-passenger vessel and will be the line’s largest. The all-suite ship has verandas on 90 percent of the accommodations, four restaurants and an indoor/outdoor spa, and four restaurants.

The Spa at Seabourn features 750-square-foot private retreat “Spa Villas” with seating and dining areas, indoor double bed lounger, two treatment beds, oversized bathtub and separate shower, and wraparound terrace with sun loungers for half-day use including preferred combination of treatments.

The Odyssey will be christened Monday in Venice, Italy. www.expertcruiser.com will be on hand for the ceremony. After the christening the ship’s will remain in Europe for the summer. In November, Odyssey will offer a series of Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale.
