Not again! Another ship hits ice in Antarctica

Ushuaia The vessel Ushuaia owned and run by Antarpply Expeditions grounded today at the entrance to Wilhelmina Bay, near Cape Anna on the Antarctic peninsula. Eighty-four passengers and 44 crew and expedition staff are on board the vessel and will be transferred to Chilean Navy vessels Friday morning. Read for more details…

Silversea’s Prince Albert II dedicated in Monaco

Prince Albert II of Monaco was the guest of honor at the dedication of Silversea Cruises’ new expedition ship Prince Albert II in Monte Carlo. The vessel was the former World Discoverer that was acquired by Silversea last fall. The ship was upgraded and refurbished in Italy to Silversea’s ultra-luxury standards. Read for more…
