What a busy few days! First Disney Cruise Line announced they were suspending their fuel supplement, then Carnival Corporation and its six brands (Carnival Cruise Lines, Cunard, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Costa Cruises, and Seabourn) announced they were getting rid of their fuel surcharge and late Thursday night Norwegian Cruise Line followed suit. It’s been a busy day (and night) for cruise lines getting rid of fuel surcharges. First, Carnival Corp. and its six cruise lines and now Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) just announced they’re giving the supplment the heave-ho. NCL says in response to the current continued decline of fuel prices they will be suspending the company’s fuel supplement effective immediately for all voyages departing in 2009.
